The place is nice, and has wi-fi, luggage storage, and 24-hour reception. The staff once helped me return my forgotten jewellery. For breakfast, I enjoyed great variety and quality. I can't wait to come back for Easter!

Without a doubt, the kindness of the staff, especially of the reception girl who was South American (Argentine or Uruguayan I think) and also of the two girls who were both named Lisa and one of them speaks Spanish perfectly. Also of the best thing is the location, very centric to about 5-6 minutes of the square dam.
Breakfast leaves something to be desired, not because what's there is wrong but because it is a scarce buffet. The dining room closes at 10am and one day when we went down at 9.30am there was nothing sweet left, no sausage, no orange juice, none of the bread to make you a little sandwich and we asked the girl who was nice, but she told us there was nothing left inside. I couldn't believe it, that it's a hotel with few rooms, and that they run out of reservations. Otherwise, when there were these things, they were good. The horrible apple juice.

Charming hotel with lovely staff from the check-in till the check-out and good Wi-Fi. Comfy room, a shower, hairdryers, and bath sheets in the room. The river view from the window was good.

Our room was heaps nice, with all the essentials and sweet views of the canal. But those stairs were a real workout, cold as! The breakfast was a treat, though.

Fantatsic location. Close to the trams and all the sights. Great little food shop in the shopping centre behind the building. Loved Amstedam!

We were in the triple room which was spacious, comfortable and had a great view of the canal. Duvet and linen was excellent, bathroom a bit tired but clean and functional. Breakfast was delicious, simple but adequate and great eggs and bread. The Hotel is situated next to an excellent restaurant called The Place which I can highly recommend too, fantastic choice of fresh sustainable food, cooked in front of you with wonderful ingredients and dishes from all around the world. In all, a great location for 'doing Amsterdam' and I would stay there again.
Steep stairs, no lift but not a problem if you are fit and able ... decor and furnishings a little tired but clean ... these are not complaints just observations !

The hotel is centrally located with all the main attractions a pleasent walk away and a short walk from the main train statino. I travelled with my young son who was 10 weeks old and the hotel could not offer enough support for us. Also there was my parents and the hotel catered for my young family and also it was suitable for my older parent. The hotel offered a continential breakfast that was simple but a welcome start tothe day. The staff were very knowledgeable of the area and help in directing us to the most appropriate location on dining, shops, and attraction.
The only thing that I would say the hotel would benefit from is WI-FI but saying that there is a cafe next door that offers this.

Suitable for budget-conscious travelers
Basic breakfast was served! But the staff were friendly and accommodating.
It wasn't exactly economical despite what was offered.
